2007 Dyfed Chess Association AGM AGM (Welsh) | AGM (English)

Changes to Dyfed Chess League agreed at the AGM :

At the AGM of the Association on 28^th June various changes to the structure of the league were adopted unanimously in order to help new entrants and generally to make the league a more interesting competition.

These were:

a) to enable teams faced with a long journey to an away match to have it played at a halfway venue, paid for by the Association for 2007/08 and 2008/09;

b) to waive the Association’s part (adults: £4; juniors: £2) of the annual registration fee due from members of new clubs for the first two seasons;

c) to award the team which scores the most game points in its league matches (disregarding all the results of its players graded over 1700) the title of Dyfed Amateur Team Champions and to present them with an appropriate trophy.

Clubs representing Aberystwyth and the Welsh language internet chess club, gwyddbwyll.com, were welcomed into the Association, and also Haverfordwest ifthe Association succeed in its efforts to restart a chess club in the town.

Yng Nghyfarfod Cyffredinol y Gymdeithas ar 28 Mehefin mabwysiadwyd yn unfrydol amryw newidiadau i gyfundrefn y gynghrair er mwyn cynorthwyo clybiau newydd ac yn gyffredinol er mwyn gwneud y gynghrair yn gystadleuaeth fwy diddorol, sef:

a) galluogi timau a wyneba daith hir i chwarae oddi cartref i fynnu y cynhelir yr ornest mewn man cyfarfod hanner ffordd a’r costau llogi ystafell i’w talu gan y Gymdeithas yn 2007/08 a 2008/09;

b) caniatįu i aelodau clybiau newydd beidio ā thalu’r gyfran o’r ffi cofrestru blynyddol a fyddai’n mynd fel arall i’r Gymdeithas (£4 ar gyfer oedolion a £2 ar gyfer pobl ifainc) yn ystod eu dau dymor cyntaf;

c) anrhydeddu’r tīm a gaiff y pwyntiau mwyaf (ar wahān i holl ganlyniadau eu chwaraewyr y mae graddau ganddynt dros 1700) ā’r teitl, Pencampwyr Timau Amatur Dyfed, a rhoi iddynt darian addas.

Croesawyd i’r Gymdeithas dimau sy’n cynrychioli Aberystwyth a chlwb gwyddbwyll y rhyngrwyd, a hefyd Hwlffordd os llwydda ymdrechion y Gymdeithas i ailgychwyn clwb gwyddbwyll yn y dref.
