As you have probably guessed, this years coverage of the Welsh is an experiment.  As is bound to be the case the first time something is attempted, there are technical problems that need to be overcome.  I am aware of some of these and am working to sort them out.  However, I am not sure what the problems are arising at your end.  I would therefore be most grateful if, at the end of the tournament, some of you could email me and let me know about any problems that arose, and if possible their nature.  It would also be helpful if a few of you could let me know that the results were received ok.

A meeting will be arranged between Kevin Staveley and myself in a few weeks time, so we can sort out coverage of future events.  If you could get your comments in during the next few weeks, it would be most helpful. 

Gwent league

Many thanks to Mark (Adams) for the following tables.  It looks very tight at the top of the first division, a three team shootout.  Please note that this year the league will be decided on match points.  Game points will only be used to split ties.

Pontypool B and Abergaveney B look as if they are going to replace North Gwent A and Malpas in Division 1.  Its not my place to comment, but I can't help thinking that its a shame that one of only two clubs with three teams will have all its teams in Division 2 next year.  Although, judging by the number of matches North Gwent A & B have played, I suspect there may be problems causing the poor results.  If there are, I'm sure we all hope you sort them out and good luck for next year.
