Dear Friends
RS Jones is the Champion
Congratulations to Richard S Jones for retaining the Title of Welsh Champion. The second year running he has won the title.
Richard went through undefeated allowing only two draws in his seven games, and finishing 1.5 points clear of the four players in second place.
The leading players at the end were
RS Jones 6 points
F May, I Rees, T Kett and G Dawson 4.5.
Retaining the title is a brilliant performance. Well Done! Can Richard join the illustrious few who have completed the hat Trick? (Only Howard comes to mind, but I think there are two others, can anybody enlighten us?) We'll know next year
Many thanks to Kevin Staveley who emailed the results. he has also provided full cross tables for all the sections. However, I decided against forwarding them with this newsletter as they contains over 1000K of information, which would cause problems for many readers. Please give me a few days to break them up and change their format to reduce the size, then I'll distribute them in batches over the course of the next week.
From Kevin Staveley
There follows two of the three emails received tonight from Kevin. The other was just a covering email with the cross tables.
