Kevin has rechecked the records and confirmed that Howard was outright winner of the Welsh in three successive years.  Thanks Kevin.

 There have been some further disturbing developments in the race to host next years championship.  I recently received the following worrying email from Kevin Staveley

 BAGHDAD BUBBLE BURST??

I’ve received a phone call tonight from someone in America called Tree (or was it Bush). Anyway we tells me he’s unhappy with the decision to take the Welsh to Baghdad next year - he’s insisting it’s played on the USS Enterprise (that’s the aircraft carrier not the starship).

The Americans say that if we don’t agree they will bomb Dowlais Tip. I’ve called their bluff and told them to go ahead (after all, no one will notice the difference and we might get rid of a few rats in the process).

Our new publicity officer, Saeed Al-Sahaf, has told me not to worry - by the time the bombing starts he will be in Cardiff and able to handle the press conferences. He’s assured me he’s had enough practice in Baghdad.

We await developments with trepidation - the next week could be crucial.

 As if we haven't got troubles enough the North Koreans have now threatened to nuke Dowlais Tip if we do hold the next championship in America (editor).  All of which leads up to the.........
