Iolo at Brilliant best in Swansea Rapidplay

Iolo Jones proved to be the class act of yesterday's Swansea rapidplay as he carved his way through the field to claim first place.  Under pressure in the last round, with time trouble looming and needing a draw to claim at least a share of the title, he found a bishop sacrifice to force a draw.  This proved sufficient as the other contenders fell away, leaving him in clear first place.

In addition to victory in the Swansea rapidplay he also takes the lead in the 2003/04 rapidplay Grand Prix.

Many thanks to Kevin Staveley for he following results.

Finally:  The Jokes on Winter Butterfly.

I suspect Phil Griffiths of Pontypridd for this bit of mischief.  Can't complain, I suppose I asked for it.  Click on the internet address shown below and scroll down so that you can see the subtitles, which claim to be a translation, at the bottom of the screen.  Nice on Phil!!
